A Taste of France in Every Loaf
A Touch of Parisian Magic: My Story as a Parisian Little Girl
I grew up in the 12th arrondissement in Paris, in Rue du Rendez-vous, a neighborhood that felt like a little village. Every day, I passed by our local bakery, where true sourdough French bread (“pain au levain”) was baked in a traditional firewood oven. The aroma of freshly baked bread filled the street, and my father would never buy our daily bread anywhere else. Years later, when I chose to make gluten-free pastries and breads instead of pursuing biological research, I knew sourdough had to be part of it. It adds life, love, and soul to the bread—a magic that I’m proud to share with the world. Making your own bread is not just a craft; it’s a deeply rewarding experience, especially when you can feed yourself and your loved ones with something so personal and nourishing.
